Tavern Rules

*Failing or refusing to read the rules of this business does not excuse you from being held accountable to them. Ignorance of these rules is no defense of violating the rules merely by being unaware of their content, and the consequences therein. By visiting or entering the Shepherd's Rest, you agree to these Rules, and understand they may be amended from time to time. If you do not agree to any of these terms, please do not enter.

The Shepherd's Rest is an RP venue. Any explicit adult content is forbidden on the property both indoors and out of doors.
As this is a Tavern, within the Game boundaries of T Rating: Alcohol Use and Strong Language Apply. Patron Discretion is advised.
There is a strict no provocation, or instigation drama, no conflict RP policy. This is a place of comfort and peace, and for those who wish to RP, relax and enjoy themselves without needing to worry about all the other crap. (A little drama is fine within your own stories.) We get there will be drama sometimes, type of drama is the issue. We understand this -IS- a tavern, there will be some disputes on the fly, but purposeful conflict and instigation RP is not allowed.
IC or OOC No means No. If you are told to stop, Stop. It is that simple.
Trolls will be promptly ignored.
Be kind, be respectful, and check your attitude before you enter the tavern.
If you feel the need to provoke or instigate the owners/staff or other patrons. This is not the place for you. Just leave. If you wish to be rude or start something. Leave.
If you feel the need to insist on provocation and instigation you will be asked to leave. If you do not leave upon request you waive any and all consent to further actions, verbal or 'physical' upon your person.

If you ignore the rules above, and any verbal warnings from owners or staff you receive, you are willfully and knowingly continuing to instigate and antagonize, and continued attempts to provoke a verbal or 'physical' response, you are giving IC and OOC consent to further actions. You are waiving any other IC and OOC consent.
This includes but is not limited to: Insinuation the owners or staff will harm you without any type of provocation, through any verbal or, 'physical' means be it a lance or other weapon or *rolls eyes* something so risible as poison. The instance on continuing to speak or perform or demonstrate a behavior or speak on a subject you have been asked to stop.

Your actions are conscious decisions of provocation and therefore subject to retaliation. Your actions of antagonizing others, insinuation, or provocation is your waiving any other forms of consent for others to initiate/retaliate/react further action against their aggressor/antagonist.
If further action -is- taken it must be left open-ended to give the antagonist a chance to dodge/block/fight back or flee. It MUST be their choice to return action and how.
It is not the fault of others if you instigate and provoke them and they react. Victim blaming is absolutely not tolerated. IE: "Oh woe is me, I'm just a tiny girl, and this big man is being mean to me." This is abusive and victim-blaming. Abuse is ABUSE. Regardless of the size, or gender of the abuser.
That you do not know how to deal with your own choices and the consequences of your own actions, is not the fault of your victim. That rests solely upon your own shoulders and is not the responsibility nor fault of those you have provoked and harassed to aggression.
IF you feel the need to ask to be or repeatedly mention being kicked out. Do us all the favor and see yourself out. Your request to play a victim card will not be tolerated. Otherwise, you will be treated as above or as a troll and it will be suggested to all they simply /blist you.
Owners and Staff have the right to set rules as situations occur.
